Great time in Florence

Hi Jan,
Just a note to say we so enjoyed our week in your apartment in Florence.
Glorious weather 21c on 3 days. Ate at all or favourite places and included il
Pennello and Ristorante Paoli. Viewed art and just wandered around (just being
in Florence)
So perfectly situated for all our needs we vote you our favourite place to
stay when in Florence if there are only 2 of us. ( we like space)
We lived in Tuscany and Umbria for 3 months in 2012 so went out to visit
some of our favourite lunch spots. It was great to see some of the folk we met
then, but Italy is grey and closed till the buds burst. So many tiny towns
having their winter rest.
One of my highlights was reading the visitors book in the appt.
Thankyou again, just wanted to tell you our short stay was a great success
and we hope to be back.

Dear Jan
We are happily in your apartment convivio, and just come back from a
delicious and leisurely Sunday lunch at Il Pennello. Going to an opera Carmen
tonight at St Marks across Ponte Santa Trinita. We feel very comfortable here
and having a leisurely day after our long day of travel yesterday...although it
all went very smoothly. A little rainy this morning, but not too cold.
We do like your apartment, beautiful and like stepping into your
home!

Hi Jan, It seems along time ago now but we had a wonderful time in Florence at the Convivio in July. We really loved the apartment - it is gorgeous. On the last night we were there, Zubin Mehta conducted the Symphony Orchestra in a free concert in the Piazza Vecchio - Beethoven's 9th. We had already spotted the posters but appreciated that Rosemary phoned to let us know about it. An experience we will never forget. We wanted to thank you for making the apartment available to us. We had a wonderful time and the weather was very kind to us. We caught the train from Lucca, which was very comfortable, then spent our days enjoying the sights; Noel had not been to Florence before, so it was all new for him. We loved our greengrocer, etc at the front door and I cooked in most evenings, although we particularly enjoyed a meal a few minutes away at (I think?) Paolo? I actually found the review in a Victorian Auto magazine, of all places, and Café Corona become our haunt for coffee and pastries. We were very comfortable and are now experts on Harry Potter dvd’s as we enjoyed a few nights in – too tired to walk another step. Marian. 2006. ...............................................
Rosemary is a gem and she shared many useful recommendations with us that made our stay in Firenze a happy and relaxing one. Hi Jan, I have been meaning to drop a note to say how we loved the apartment in Florence. We had such a great time in Italy and have come back to our routine here and our time there seems unreal. We loved the history of the apartment, and our friends, who were staying closer towards the railway station, were also impressed. I loved hanging out the window watching the world go by down below. One of the highlights was an orchestra playing in the piazza one evening- all the buildings and statues lit up- the setting was amazing. We hope we can get back there one day.... Dear Jan, Just to let you know we had a most enjoyable stay in your apartment in Firenze. What a fantastic location!! The folder of information was most valuable.We made day trips to Pisa, Lucca,Sienna and Venice. For Christmas, Brian and I went the day before to the market and bought a turkey, vegetables and fruit and for Christmas dinner we had roast turkey and Panotone bread and butter pudding and a few bottles of the local wines, our two children thought it was pretty special. Our trip overseas went extremely well and we were very fortunate that we had good weather for most of our 6 weeks. Wishing you all the best for 2008. I've been back a few weeks now but the holiday is still a very very pleasant memory. We really appreciated being able to stay at your apartments and certainly would recommend them to any of our friends - one never has enough time to do all that one wants to but still we achieved a lot on the list! We used some guides in Rome - the company is also operative in Florence - contextrome - these were people who held PHDs in the subject and they were worth every cent - my goddaughter all of 17 said even as a backpacker you would save up and have a guide! We were very impressed with the Hotel in Rome and particularly the good looking driver in the Mercedes. Many thanks for organising that. August 2008. ………………………………….
Hi Janine This is just to say thank you for a wonderful stay in Florence at Xmas.Everything went extremely well and a lot of this had to do with your help. Our stay in Sorrento was just great , we were transferred to the Sorrento Hilton as our original hotel which you recommended closed for maintenance however they organized our rooms at the Hilton and we had Xmas there, who could complain about the Hilton. We did catch the train to Venice, your advice again, this all went well and arrived on NYE and snow fell at midnight in St Marks Square. Your wonderful apartment could not have been better, we watched all your Australian DVDs as we are great movie buffs, would walk during the day come back watch a movie then out for dinner. Hi Jan, Just a note to let you know we are home safely after our european adventure. We just had the best time in Florence and as per our previous visits "Convivio" was certainly a highlight, it's so well appointed and conveniently located. We had three very nice days, one to the Cinque Terra, one to Lucca and the other to Verona, the rest of the time we shopped til we dropped. From Florence we spent a couple of nice days in Como and then drove all the way to Prague which was just fantastic, back to the Uzes in the south of France for a week and then home, so al in all we had the most fantastic trip. My wife Fran and I recently spent 14 nights in the Florence apartment - it was absolutely amazing and really made our holiday in Italy and especially Florence perfect. It's location to the centre of everything made Florence a wonderful place to be and see. We wanted for nothing and the apartment was spacious, warm and inviting and my Italian relatives could not believe it when they came for dinner. If you wanting to holiday in Florence you cannot go pass this apartment. Mark. December 2011

So many weeks have passed since we left Florence, but I've been meaning
to write and say thanks so much for the perfect apartment. It really suited us
magnificently, and such a nice place it was, to come home to each lunchtime or
evening ... or just any time for a nap etc., it was so wonderfully located.
I left a couple of guide books, maps and a language book ("Buon
giorno italiano") that we'd finished with in the apartment, so maybe other
visitors can make use of them.
Thanks again, and thanks to Rosemary too, she was so helpful & kind.
We'll recommend Convivio to our friends & rels.
